I did some housework before heading to the university. 

I worked on writing manuscripts and application forms. 

I had planned to submit four articles by the deadline after Golden Week, but it looks like I will not be able to finish one. 

That is why I worked on the application form. 

I was also preparing for tomorrows first-year introductory seminar, which helped me organize my own research.
