I had two seminars.

I wrote and submitted the application form in between.

In the afternoons third-year seminar, the students did group work in the library, while I continued my own work nearby. 

I was trying to show them how to work and study, but I doubt the students thought that way.

While the world is in a festive mood during Golden Week, it is precisely during times like these that I should calmly focus on my research and build up my skills.
